A toolkit for designers.
The ‘Compassionate Design’ toolkit book was launched at our Senedd (Cardiff) and Royal Society of Art (London) events in March 2018!
The toolkit aims to help designers understand how to design for advanced dementia by using a Compassionate Design approach. It provides examples of design solutions that have been designed for people living with dementia using the three key themes of Compassionate Design: Personalised, Sensory and Connecting. Using this approach, the toolkit shows designers how they can begin to design a better world in which individuals living with severe cognitive impairment feel valued, retain their dignity and can experience loving connections with others.
